Florida: fleets first, and a lot of private yards

Florida has twice as many private CNG sites as public ones, which tells you how the fuel arrived here: refuse haulers, county fleets, school districts and transit agencies built yards for their own trucks, and only some of them opened a dispenser to the public. The public network is younger and more commercial. Nopetro, a Florida operator, built standalone stations in the Tampa, Orlando and Tallahassee areas, often next to a fleet customer; Clean Energy and Trillium serve the Jacksonville, Orlando and Miami truck lanes; and Chevron runs the former Beyond6 sites.

All but one public station is quick-fill, every one is open 24 hours and marked for heavy-duty vehicles, and about three quarters carry the RNG badge. Card acceptance is broad. The one time-fill-only public listing is a fleet yard and is marked as such.

The stations cluster on I-4 between Tampa and Orlando, around Jacksonville, and in South Florida. The I-95 corridor page shows the long empty run up the Atlantic coast between the Fort Lauderdale area and St. Augustine, and the I-10 page shows the Panhandle from Pensacola to Tallahassee.
