What we collect
Analytics. We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused service that does not use cookies and does not store personal data or IP addresses in a form that identifies you. It tells us which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from (country), and which links are clicked. We use this to decide what to build next.
Advertising. Display ads are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites, and to measure them. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings and learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com.
The station map. The map and route planner are embedded from the U.S. Department of Energy's Alternative Fuels Data Center. If you allow location access, your browser shares your location with that widget to center the map; we do not receive it. The widget loads its own analytics scripts, which are governed by the DOE web policies.
Contact forms. When you submit the contact or advertising form we receive the name, email and message you typed, delivered to us by email through a transactional email provider. We use it only to reply.
Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard, short-lived request logs for security and reliability.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or share personal information, we do not run our own tracking cookies, and we do not require an account for anything.
Your choices
Block cookies in your browser, use Google's ad settings, or decline location access; the site works fully without any of them. To have a contact message deleted, reply to our response and ask.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Questions: use the contact form.
